Collection: TPU 95A Filament

TPU 95A filament is a flexible thermoplastic polyurethane with a genuine Shore 95A hardness, both on the spool and once printed. It offers real flex without giving up the shape retention and durability that softer TPUs cannot match. We currently stock eleven colours, all in 1.75mm and held locally in Australia.

Why Choose TPU 95A?

This is the firmest of our three flexible materials, and it stays that way. What you buy as 95A prints as 95A, so you get real flex plus the shape retention and durability that a softer TPU cannot match.

  • Flexible yet strong, with excellent shape retention
  • High abrasion and impact resistance
  • Smooth surface finish with strong layer adhesion
  • Eleven colours to choose from

Best Uses for TPU 95A

This one earns its keep on parts that need flex but still have to hold their form:

  • Phone cases and protective covers
  • Gaskets, seals and flexible joints
  • Wearable components and straps
  • Impact resistant and vibration damping parts

TPU 95A vs ShoeFlex vs InsoleFlex: Which One Do You Need?

We stock three flexible materials, and the hardness rating on the spool only tells half the story:

  • TPU 95A: 95A on the spool, and it stays 95A once printed. The firmest and most durable of the three, best for cases, gaskets and structural flexible parts
  • InsoleFlex 9585A: rated 95A on the spool, but a special compound reacts to the heat of printing and softens to around 85A once printed, closer to real cushioning underfoot
  • ShoeFlex 9075A: rated 90A on the spool, softening to around 75A once printed, the softest of the three and built for direct skin contact wearables

If you need a part to hold its shape under load, TPU 95A is the one to reach for. If you want genuine cushioning, ShoeFlex or InsoleFlex will feel noticeably softer in your hand than their spool rating suggests.

Printing with TPU 95A

TPU 95A prints best with a few adjustments from standard PLA or PETG settings:

  • Direct drive extruders recommended for best results
  • Slower print speeds improve consistency
  • Reduced retraction helps minimise stringing
