Why Choose ABS Pro?
This is standard ABS with an upgraded formulation aimed at the parts that actually need to survive contact with the real world. You get better toughness, more dimensional stability and less warping than plain ABS, without changing how you print it.
- Improved impact resistance over standard ABS
- Better dimensional stability, parts hold their shape more reliably
- Reduced warping when printed correctly
- Eleven colours to choose from, so functional does not mean boring
What Prints Suit ABS Pro Best?
This one earns its keep on parts that need to handle heat, impact or day to day use:
- Functional prototypes
- Automotive style and mechanical parts
- Electrical enclosures and housings
- Workshop tools, jigs and fixtures
- End use engineering parts
ABS Pro vs Other Materials
If you are deciding between materials, here is the honest comparison:
- Standard PLA is easier to print but will not take heat or impact anywhere near as well
- PETG sits in between, easier to print than ABS with decent strength, but ABS Pro still wins on heat resistance
- ASA shares ABS Pro's strength and heat resistance with added UV stability, worth it if the part lives outdoors
- ABS CF adds carbon fibre stiffness on top, worth it if you need extra rigidity as well as heat resistance
Printer Compatibility and Settings
Our 1.75mm ABS Pro works best on enclosed FDM printers, including Bambu Lab, Prusa, Creality and other professional systems. Use a heated bed set between 90ยฐC and 110ยฐC, and keep the enclosure closed to maintain a stable ambient temperature. This is standard ABS printing practice, nothing extra required for the Pro formulation.
