Why Store Filament Properly?
Moisture is the biggest threat to filament quality. Damp spools cause stringing, popping, brittleness and weaker layer adhesion, all before you have even started printing. A bit of proper storage prevents most of this outright.
- Prevents moisture absorption before it becomes a printing problem
- Keeps hygroscopic materials like Nylon, TPU and PETG print ready
- Extends filament shelf life
- Keeps a growing spool collection organised and easy to find
Drying Box vs Vacuum Storage
Our drying box comes with a built in digital thermometer and hygrometer, a sealed container with a feed port so you can print straight from it while it stays sealed. If you would rather use vacuum storage bags instead, our Electric Vacuum Pump is a cordless, USB rechargeable pump that compresses bags in seconds, and you can add our standalone Circular Embedded Thermometer and Hygrometer to monitor conditions inside whatever container you are using.
Growing Collection? Try the BIQU Panda Feed Rack
The BIQU Panda Feed Rack is a heavy duty 5 tier steel rack that holds 40 plus spools, from standard 1kg rolls down to smaller 200g to 500g spools, with lower angled shelves that can hold boxed filament still in its packaging. Every spool stays visible and within reach, which matters once your collection grows past a shelf or two.
Suitable for All Filament Types
Storage matters most for moisture sensitive materials:
- PLA and PLA Pro
- PETG
- ABS and ASA
- TPU flexible filaments
- Nylon and other engineering filaments
