About the AJAX TD1S Filament TD Tester

The AJAX TD1S Filament TD Tester is a compact tool designed to measure filament transmissivity for use with HueForge. It helps capture TD values and estimate filament colour data, making it easier to build accurate filament profiles for colour-blending, layered artwork and HueForge print planning.

Instead of relying only on step tests or manual estimates, the TD1S allows you to test filament directly and record useful material data for your filament library. This is especially helpful when working with translucent, semi-transparent, light-coloured or unfamiliar filaments where accurate TD values can make a noticeable difference to HueForge results.

The TD1S connects via USB-C and features an OLED display, allowing readings to be viewed directly on the device. It supports quick capture for adding new filament data efficiently, as well as continuous capture for monitoring filament TD values in real time during testing, spooling or material comparison.
