This 1m 6-pin AMS extension data cable is a longer replacement for the short data cable that links your AMS to the printer, giving you a full metre of slack to put the unit where it actually suits your bench. A moulded ferrite core on the cable suppresses electrical interference so the data line stays clean over the longer run.

Why Extend the AMS Cable?

The cable that ships with the AMS is only long enough to sit the unit directly on top of the printer or hard up against it. That works until it doesn't. Stacking the AMS on the lid blocks the one panel you need to open when a print goes wrong, and it puts several kilos of spools exactly where you want your hands. A metre of cable lets you move the AMS somewhere sensible and leave it there.

What It Lets You Do

  • Shelve the AMS above or beside the printer so the lid stays clear and finished prints are easy to reach
  • Spread multiple AMS units out across a bench or shelf instead of stacking them in a tower
  • Keep the AMS in a drybox or cabinet while the printer stays out in the open
  • Tidy the cable run by routing it behind or under the printer rather than looping it over the top

Why the Ferrite Core Matters

The AMS and the printer talk over a data line, and a longer cable picks up more electrical noise from everything sharing the bench: stepper motors, the heatbed, the power supply. The ferrite core moulded onto the cable absorbs that high-frequency interference before it reaches the connector. On a short factory cable it is barely needed. On an extended run it is the difference between a link that just works and intermittent AMS dropouts mid-print.

Specifications

  • Length: 1 metre
  • Connectors: 6-pin, male to male
  • Interference suppression: moulded ferrite core
  • Function: data only, replaces the standard AMS to printer cable

Compatibility

Suits Bambu Lab AMS units that connect to the printer with a 6-pin data cable. Before ordering, check the cable currently running between your AMS and printer: it should have a flat 6-pin plug at each end. If yours looks different, message us and we will confirm before you buy.

Running more than one AMS? Pick up a spare so you can lay them out the way you want rather than the way the stock cable allows. Ships fast from our Sydney warehouse with Australia-wide delivery.
