The BIQU 3D Printing Adhesive is a liquid bed adhesive that does two jobs: it holds warp-prone prints flat against the build plate, and it acts as a release layer so finished parts pop off cleanly once the bed cools. The 60mL bottle has a sponge applicator head that spreads a thin, even coat across the plate, without the clumps and ridges a glue stick leaves behind, and one bottle covers roughly 100 full-plate applications.
How It Works
Applied to a warm plate, the adhesive grips the first layer hard for the whole print, including at high speeds. As the bed cools after the print finishes, the bond weakens and the part releases with little effort, so you are not levering at corners with a scraper. The residue is non-toxic and odourless, and wipes off with water, alcohol or soapy water when you want a fresh surface.
When You Actually Need It
Honest answer: for everyday PLA on a textured PEI plate, you usually do not. Where this adhesive earns its spot on the bench:
- Warp-prone materials. ABS, ASA and carbon fibre nylons pulling corners off the plate is the most common failure with these filaments, and a thin coat of adhesive is the cheapest fix
- Smooth and cold plate surfaces. Smooth PEI, glass and unheated beds all benefit from the extra grip
- Protecting your plate. PETG and TPU can bond so hard to smooth PEI that removal tears the coating. A layer of adhesive between part and plate stops that
- Large flat prints where any lifting at the edges ruins the part
Material Compatibility
Works with everyday PLA, PETG, ABS and TPU through to engineering blends like PET-CF, PAHT-CF and PA12-CF. BIQU's recommended bed temperatures when using the adhesive:
- PLA: 40 to 60°C
- PETG: 60 to 80°C
- ABS: 90 to 110°C
- TPU: 30 to 45°C
How to Use It
- Apply a thin, even coat to a clean plate. Press the applicator head down gently and it flows on its own, so more is not better
- Let it dry to a light haze before starting the print
- Reapply every few prints, or when parts stop gripping
- Wash the plate with warm soapy water once residue builds up
